  Master Scott Phelps began Taekwondo training in 1976 under Grand Master In Mook Kim and currently holds the rank of 6th degree Black Belt. His rank is recognized by the World Taekwondo Federation, the only Taekwondo federation recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Master Phelps has over 30 years of Olympic style Taekwondo competition experience and has developed several State, Regional and National Taekwondo champions. Master Phelps holds coaching and referee certification through USA Taekwondo (the governing body for Olympic Taekwondo in the United States). He also holds referee certification through the International Kick Boxing Federation and is currently the Vice President of the Chung Do Kwan of America Taekwondo Association, a regional Taekwondo association. |
  Samantha Holland began her Taekwondo training in 1995 and holds the rank of 4th degree black belt. Samantha is a 2009 Collegiate National team member. She is also a two time Collegiate National sparring gold medalist and a Pan American Collegiate gold medalist. Samantha currently attends Iowa State University majoring in agricultural business. |
  Mr. Tony Hansen started taekwondo study in 1994 in Iowa City with Master Yong Pak family martial arts. Since then, he has been teaching all ranges of ages and abilities in Iowa City and Des Moines areas while training for competitive sport taekwondo. He has competed locally as well as NCTA and US Open tournaments. He currently holds a 3rd Dan black belt and has studied other martial arts (hapkido, shorin ru karate and bojitsu). He is also pursuing doctoral study in public policy. |
